Placenta Services
Placenta encapsulation, tinctures, salves, prints, umbilical cord keepsake and placenta soil.
Service Description
At Earthbound, all processes are done with high respect to the placenta and in a sanitary environment. We first steam the placenta using the Traditional Chinese Method to temper the hormones and reintroduce warm energy back into the body. After steaming, the placenta is dehydrated for 24 hours, then ground into a fine powder and put into ingestible capsules. Tinctures are made by steeping a piece of placenta in a pure alcohol base for 6 weeks. Salves are created by adding placenta powder/tincture to a salve base. Placenta prints are created by stamping the placenta onto canvas to create a work of art unique to your baby's tree of life. Dehydrated umbilical cord keepsakes can be made into a spiral, heart, or other shape depending on cord length. Placenta Soil is an alternative to placenta consumption. The placenta powder is prepared to be mixed with a nutrient-rich soil to be returned to the earth per your preference (i.e. tree planting). Benefits of placenta consumption may include replenishing iron, balancing hormones, assisting with uterine involution (returning to pre-pregnancy size), decreasing postnatal bleeding, aiding in postnatal recovery, increasing milk supply, increasing energy level, and decreasing the risk of postpartum mood disorders. All capsules are vegan, gluten free, non-GMO, certified Kosher, and certified Halal. Tincture base choices: tequila, vodka, or brandy. Prints available on various canvas shapes. *Placenta consumption is NOT intended as a substitution for medical attention*
